It is for me, and I'm a side sleeper. But... it still depends on whether you like a soft or a firm mattress. This mattress is on the firm side.

Wondering how cool this stays. Not a fan of memory foam , love the feel and comfort of latex. This being a combo, difficult to decide, any advice?
This mattress stays cool. I do not use a mattress cover so I can lie on the cool top. I roll around a lot and every move brings cool refreshment. Do not buy memory foam. It's hot and it stinks.

I bought to replace my huge memory foam mattress which was so hot. This mattress still holds some heat but not as bad. I think any foam layer will be hot. I don't think my mattress has any gel memory foam, just the 1 inch latex foam. Mine is a very firm mattress, you do not sink into it at all.

Deciding between 8-10”. I want firm and especially firm sides; I'm disabled and sinking is a problem standing up. Which would be the best for my spec
I have a handicap too and this mattress is wonderful. I don't think you will have trouble with the sides at all. Also, it is much easier to reposition yourself when you are actually IN bed. I put a topper on it because it is so firm and still don't have any trouble with either rolling over or getting up. The other thing I did was get a bed frame that is 10 inches tall. With the added height of the mattress, all I have to do is swing my legs off the bed and stand up. I am very happy with this mattress.

Thank you for your question. I purchased two 10 inch mattresses for 2 of my children. The sides are firm and do not sink easily in these. I have not purchased the 8 inch one so I cannot comment on that width.

sorry they didn't have the 10 when i ordered but very happy with the 8 inch. I see the 10 inch has gel so i don't think it will be as firm as the 8 inch. 8 inch is firm but still comfortable.
